Came to Utah Sept. 26, 1850, independent company. Married Hannah Jane Cloward 1851, Provo, Utah (daughter of Jacob and Hannah Cloward, pioneers 1851). She was born Oct. 12, 1833, and died Nov. 21, 1860. Their children: Jane Elizabeth b. May 14, 1853, d. infant; Mary Jane b. April 25, 1854, m William Wright; Hannah Melissa b. Feb. 4, 1856, m. David Nephi Penrod; Martha Malinda b. May 21, 1860, died. Married Eliza Ann Allen of Provo, Utah (daughter of Daniel and Eliza Allen), who was born July 5, 1842, and died Jan. 20, 1875. Their children: Eliza Isabell b. Dec. 2, 1863 George Daniel b. March 7, 1866, died; John William b. April 26, 1868; Owen Abraham b. Jan. 10, 1872; Orson b. Jan. 12, 1875. Married Sarah Elizabeth Carter Nov. 21, 1875, Provo, Utah (daughter of John H. Carter and Sophia Sweet of Oxford county, Maine, pioneers 1849). She was born Aug. 14, 1851, Manti, Utah. Their children: Clara Elizabeth b. July 24, 1876; Sophia Eldora b. Jan. 24, 1878; Jacob A. b. Nov. 7, 1879; David Wallace b. Feb. 25, 1882; Lafayette b. April 15, 1884; Arthur b.
