Notes |
- Per the 1860 census for Moroni, Sanpete, Utah Territory, Warren S. Snow appears to have three wives: Mary A. (age 34), Maria (age 20), and Mary M. (age 37). The following children are listed within the household: Joseph T., son 15; Gardner E., son 11; Franklin, son 9; Elizth, daughter 7; Mary A., daughter 3; Saml, son 5; Warren A., son 2; and Jno C., son 1. It is not known which children belonged to which mother.
Also, Maria Baum was born in 1840 which would make her approximately 20 years old in the 1860 census. According to Ancestry, Family Data Collection - Individual Records, Maria Baum married Warren Snow on 2 Dec 1856 at approximately the age of 16 making her the probable mother of one or more children.
Additionally, the 1910 census for Maria and Joseph Smith Horne indicate that they both were previously married.
According to the Findagrave memorial for Warren Stone Snow, there is no link to a wife named Maria Baum. The memorial does show marriage to a Mary Ann Voohees (1822-1907) and a Mary Ann Brown Buchanan (1842-1901. Per the memorial, Mary Ann Voorhees is the mother of Joseph Smith Snow (1845-1928), Gardner E. Snow (1848-1912), Franklin Warren Snow (1850-1934), and Luella Snow Moffitt (1865-1946). Mary Ann Brown is not reflected as the mother of any of the children but it is possible that children links have not been made as of this note.
Additionally, Warren Stone Snow was married to 2 other women: Drusillah Higgins (1833-1892) and Sarah Elizabeth Whiting (1840-1918). Drusillah is shown as the mother of Warren Alonzo Snow (1858-1859) while Sarah Elizabeth Whiting is shown as the mother of Edwin Marion Snow (1859-1928), Clara Elizabeth Snow Tew (1862-1936) and Daniel Wells Snow (1873-1921). Census records have not been found to verify any of the above information. [4]
- 1870 census finds Marie Baum Snow living in Manti, Sanpete, Utah, alone with her two children, John C. and Hannah Snow. [5]
