Notes |
- Researched the 1925 Iowa State Census using parents exact birth year +-2 as search criteria, independent of surname, and their birth exact birth locations revealed these three children/spouses living in Iowa in 1925. Changing the birth year to plus or minus 5 revealed the same results. Removing the birth years of the parents revealed the same results.
Hattie B. Smith Welton, age 62 living in Johnson City, Iowa. Reflects mother as Savina M. Bird and father as Edwin D. Smith [Federal Census complete]
C.A. Smith, age 56. Parents are recorded as Sovina Boirg and Edward Smith. He is a bachelor. [Federal Census complete]
W.M. Smith, age 52, with wife Nellie, age 51 living in Oskaloosa Ward 2, Mahaska County. (Also found in the 1920 census living in Oskaloosa Ward 2, Mahaska, Iowa with wife Nellie and son Frank G. (age 23). Both are age 46 and Frank is 23.) William's name was recorded as William M. Smith with a correction added to Ancestry to correct the name to William W. Smith. Frank appears to be the son of William who appeared in the 1900 with his wife Anna. Nellie appears to be his second wife; maiden name Church. In any case, his parents are recorded as Sovina Bird and E.D. Smith and it is assumed this is the correct William. Nellie is single living in Oskaloosa in 1900 with her mother Julia Church.
- The only census year that Senteniel (son) appeared in was the 1880 census; not found recorded on any subsequent years; assumed deceased between 1880 and 1885.
- James R. does not appear in the Iowa Federal or State census after 1880.
- 1930 Census location for Della is still unknown
