Betty Jean Ferguson Durrant, 61, of Lindon, died Saturday, July 29, 1989 in Cheyenne, Wyoming, of a cardiac arrest.
She was born Sept 16, 1927, in Provo, to Forrest and Margaret Hutchings Ferguson. She married James E Gene Durrant, Feb 14, 1949, in Provo, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and had served as president of the Primary, a Relief Society worker, and in the Young Woman organization.
She spent her childhood days in Orem and attended Lincoln High School.
She is survived by her husband, Lindon; four sons and four daughters, Kindell Durrant, Mrs David (Annette) Larsen, both of Orem; Clarion Durrant, Robert Durrant, Mrs Kerry (Kathleen) Baxter, all of American Fork; Roger Durrant, Lehi; Trudy Durrant, Lindon; Mrs Steven (Lorie) Morgan, West Jordan; 32 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; mother, Orem; three sisters and one brother, Mrs Floyd (Lorna) Jeffs, Orem; Faye Reeve, Pleasant Grove; Mrs Burn (Margie) Fausett, Payson; Nolan Ferguson, Orem.
Funeral will be Wednesday, 11 a.m. at the Lindo 2nd LDS Ward, 600 W 100 S, Lindon. Friends may call at Olpin Family Mortuary, 500 S. 300 E, Pleasant Grove, Tuesday 7-9 p.m. or Wednesday at the church one hour prior to service.
Burial will be in the Pleasant Gove City Cemetery. |
