Obituary
Funeral services for Mildred J. Haynes, 88, of Gray, formerly of Dublin, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at World Harvest Church in Dublin with Dr. Farris W Cox and Rev. Doyle Middlebrooks officiating. Burial will follow at Dublin Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Haynes was born to the late Benjamin Richard and Mary Elizabeth "Mamie" Van Zandt Jarrell on August 14, 1916 in Jones County. She received her bachelor of science degree in nursing from The University of Tennessee in Memphis, where she was president of her graduating class. She was a nurse at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Dublin until her retirement. She was a member of World Harvest Church in Dublin and attended The World Harvest Church in Macon upon moving to that area. Her hobbies included poetry and painting. She died Monday. |
