- ROBEY, JEREMIAH (son of Jeremiah Robey and Mary Ogden, of Shinnston, W. Va.). Born April 14, 1808, in Harrison county, W. Va. Came to Utah August, 1852, David Wood company.
Married Ruth Tucker Nov. 7, 1833 in West Virginia (daughter of Jeremiah Tucker and Ruth Ashcroft, of Shinnston), who was born June 26, 1816, and died Jan. 17, 1892, Midway, Utah.

Jeremiah Robey, Sr.--Was born in Harrison County, West Virginia, April 14, 1809, a son of Jeremiah and Mary Ogden Robey. He joined the church in Nauvoo, Illinois and was baptized by the Prophet Joseph Smith. He had learned the trade of carpentry and cabinet maker in his early manhood and was a worker on the Nauvoo temple.
He came to Utah in the David Wood Company, in 1852, and settled in Provo where he and Edwin Bunnell formed a partnership and opened a cabinet shop where they made all kinds of furniture. In 1859, the Robey family moved to Wasatch County settling in the west side of the valley in what is now Midway where he made cupboards, tables and bedsteads.
