Dave was born December 03, 1933 in Dillon, Montana to Soren and Lena(Hug) Sorenson. He married Margie Ann (Lyon) August 1, 1953 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Dave proudly served in the United States Air Force for 25 ½ years. During that time he was stationed in Kansas, Mississippi, Korea, Turkey, California, Colorado, Italy and retired in Omaha, Nebraska as Major. After retirement from the Air Force Dave and Margie moved back to Colorado Springs where Dave worked for Ford Aerospace, Loral Aerospace and Lockheed Martin. Dave earned a Masters degree in Poitical Science along with other degrees.
Dave is survived by his 4 daughters Susan Salzman, Charlene Runyan(Rick), Becky Sorenson and Sharon Carter all from Colorado Springs. 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; brothers, Alan, Otto and Lester; sisters Luanna Neisess, Betty Franck and Marianne Kinzel. He was preceded in death by his wife Margie of 63 years and his brothers Albert and Elmer.
Dave enjoyed taking trips to the mountains in the fall the see the changing aspen leaves. He bowled for many years for which he earned numerous trophies. One of his favorite things to do was to decorate the house every year at Christmas. He made many of the decorations himself. Dave had an amazing sense of humor, of which Dave would drive Margie crazy coming up with pet names such buzzard lips and flamingo butt. Dave was a dedicated husband and father. His intelligence, wit and sense of humor will never be forgotten.
