Notes |
- There is a possiblity that Mary's name was Mary Catherine or Catherine Mary. A record was found on http://www.findagrave.com for a Catherine V. Bittaker, born 8 Mar 1880 with a death date of 16 Nov 1885. At the time of the 1880 census, a Mary Bittaker, age 3 months, was recorded as a daughter of Robert and Mariah Bittaker, Coventry, District 169, Summit County, Ohio. Her age at that time coincides with the age of Catherine V. Bittaker, buried in Lockwood Cemetery in Akron, Summit County, Ohio. Reference URL Catherine V. Bittaker, Birth: Mar 8, 1880, Death: Nov 16, 1885.
Also buried in Lockwood:
(1) Albert O. Bittaker buried in Lockwood. He was born 16 Mar 1884 and died 28 Oct 1885, no photo or other information, and
(2) a Olive E Bittaker, born 16 Jan 1888 and died 2 Jan 1889, no photo or other information. It is presumed that these children belong to Mariah and Robert Bittaker as 9 children have been accounted for. The 1900 census states that she bore 11 children further substantiating this assumption.
