Edith Eileen "Edie" Robey, born almost 82 years ago in Utah, passed on to her heavenly home July 30, 2007. She was born in Provo, Utah, and raised in San Francisco. Edie worked in the restaurant business all her life except during WWII, when she worked assembling military tanks. She participated in the family-owned restaurant in Utah, the El Camino Restaurant. Later she was an owner of the Gold Miner Caf in Folsom until she retired. Edie moved to Graeagle after retirement and enjoyed a quiet life with her dogs, reading and some traveling. She was also a talented artist. She was a member of High Sierra Animal Rescue and Performing Animal Welfare Society. She was a faithful woman who knew the Bible and believed in reuniting with the Lord. A song by her favorite musical artist, Frank Sinatra, "I Did It My Way," explained Edie's life. Edie is survived by her brothers Lynn and David and by nieces Carolyn, Sherlyn, Amy and Chelise. No services will be held, but a private celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
